Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

The Service collects only the following.

• Account information: email address, display name, and profile image, received through Clerk when you sign up or sign in. Your display name is assigned at random on sign-up and can be changed in Settings. If you upload a profile image, we store that file.
• Usage information: the companies, period, and hidden channels you last selected, your language setting, your last visit time, and daily usage counts per feature
• Automatically collected information: IP address, browser and device details, access times, pages visited, and cookies that keep you signed in

The updates the Service collects and summarizes are official posts published by each company, not your personal information. The Service does not take payments at this time, so it collects no payment information.

2. How we use it

We use this information only to:

• Identify you, sign you in, and manage your account
• Provide the Service, such as restoring your last selections on your next visit
• Answer your inquiries and notify you of changes to these documents
• Prevent abuse and respond to outages
• Improve the Service using usage statistics

3. Processors

We entrust part of the processing of personal information to the following providers. Each processes information only for the purpose we entrusted to it.

• Clerk - authentication and account management
• Convex - database and backend
• Vercel - website hosting and visit statistics (Vercel Analytics)

These providers may store and process information outside Korea, including in the United States. Except where required by law, we do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

4. Services used to collect and summarize updates

The Service uses the following external services to collect official updates and summarize them in Korean. Only the URLs and text of posts each company has published are sent to them. Your account information and usage records are never sent.

• Firecrawl - fetching official pages our servers cannot load directly
• OpenAI - summarizing and classifying published posts into Korean cards

Other sources, such as official blogs, release notes, YouTube channels, and GitHub releases, are fetched directly by our servers. No user information is sent to them either.

5. Retention and deletion

We delete your personal information without delay when you close your account. We keep a minimal record that the deletion was carried out (email address, account identifier, and time of processing), and keep information that laws require us to retain only for the required period.

6. Your rights

You may at any time:

• Request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information
• Withdraw your consent
• Download your data: in Settings > Data you can download your saved selections (companies, period, and hidden channels) as a JSON file

Make requests in Settings or through the contact below, and we will act on them without delay.

7. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account in either of two ways.

• Close your account yourself in Settings > Data
• Email dev@indieway.xyz with the subject "Account deletion request" and include your sign-up email address. We will verify your identity, complete the deletion within 30 days, and reply with the result

Closing your account deletes your account information, uploaded profile image, settings, and usage records, along with your Clerk sign-in account.

8. Security

We protect personal information with technical and administrative measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and separation of administrator functions.

9. Cookies and visit statistics

The Service uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language. You can block cookies in your browser, but you may then be unable to sign in. Visit statistics come from Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies to track visitors.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post changes to this policy in the Service at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you.
